*IZOUKUMOR MARKS CHILDREN'S DAY WITH HEAVY HEART FOLLOWING  COVID-19 PANDEMIC*

Warri-

The Chairman of the People's Democratic Party, PDP in Warri South West Council Area, Chief Favour Izoukumor, has advised children to make judicious use of their stay at home to study their books, as well as take advantage of the e-learning programme organized by Governor Ifeanyi Okowa on radio and television stations in the State.

In his goodwill message to mark this year's world children's day in Delta State, Chief Izoukumor said it was painful that he could not celebrate the 2020 event with the children because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The prominent Ijaw Leader in the Niger Delta Region however, urged parents and guardians to assist their children and wards to draw a study time table and monitor their academic progress.

He also charged parents and guardians to ensure that their children and wards adhere strictly to precautionary measures put in place by relevant authorities in order to forestall the spread of the killer virus in the State.

Chief Izoukumor, a one time DESOPADEC Commissioner for Ijaw ethnic nationality, wished all children a fun filled celebration even as they mark the event at home.

He advised all children and youths in the State to shun crime, cultism and violence and focus on positive things that will make them become great leaders of tomorrow.
