FIGHTING COVID 19, A COLLECTIVE RESPONSIBILITY

CHIEF FRANCIS ARHIYOR CALLS FOR RESPONSIBILITY FOR ALL IN CURTAILING COVID 19

The Chairman of the Delta State Management Committee On Public Motor Parks DTMCPMP, Chief Francis Arhiyor has called on commercial transporters in the state to take responsibility in the fight against coronavirus pandemic.

Chief Francis Arhiyor stated this on Tuesday via his various verified social media platforms.

He stated that coronavirus which is transmitted from human to human can only be curtailed by we humans in taking responsibility to stay alive.

The Delta State Chairman of DTMCPMP, added that the way to take responsibility is through adhering to the various precautionary measures from the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control NCDC by regularly washing of hands with soap and running water, use alcohol based sanitizer, avoiding touching of nose, mouth and eyes with dirty hands, avoid crowded places, maintain physical distance in commercial vehicle, wear face masks when going out among others.



He however lauded Governor Ifeanyi Okowa for the various steps he has taken thus far in reducing the spread of COVID 19 in the state, as well as the distribution of palliatives to the poor and vulnerable across the twenty five local government areas of the state during the four weeks of COVID 19 lockdown and also the distribution of over one million free face masks to Deltans.

Chief Francis Arhiyor emphasized that COVID 19 is not a death sentence as many have recovered and discharged from treatment centers and thus implored anyone feeling feverish symptoms to contact NCDC hotline or go to any of the state government approved health facilities for proper medical examination and treatment.
