A Niger Delta youth leader Engineer Don Dickson Ogugu has called on those in charge of distributing the food to the poor and vulnerable in the state to pay attention to those in the riverine communities in Delta State.
Engineer Don Dickson Ogugu made the call on Friday 17 2020 via his verified tweeter handle.
The Niger Delta youth leader noted that those in the coastal communities in the state needs the food stuff as those in the upland.
Engineer Don Dickson Ogugu a professional diver added that going by the extension of the lockdown for more two weeks and the difficult terrain of the coastal communities, the riverine dwellers are going through hunger and suffering.
He said the distribution of the food will go a long way in addressing the hunger in the various riverine communities in the state.
He however commended the Delta State Governor Dr Ifeanyi Okowa for the food palliative.
