PRINCE JIFAS HAILS GOV OKOWA'S FIRST SET OF APPOINTMENTS

A Delta State People's Democratic Party, PDP chieftain, Prince Sony Jifas Ogbon says Governor Ifeanyi Okowa has a readimade blue print to transform Delta State in his second tenure.
The PDP stalwart stated this at Ogoni Olomu in Ughelli South Local Government Area of the State while speaking with newsmen on Governor Okowa's first set of political appointments.
The Olomu born grassroots politician described Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa as a proactive Governor ready to take prosperity to the door steps of all Deltans, as well as transform the State, in line with the Smart Agenda of his administration.
He expressed optimism that the second tenure of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa and his Deputy, Deacon Kingsley Otuaro would be characterised by massive road construction and rehabilitation projects, higher quality education, more healthcare delivery services, vocational training, human capital and sports development, amongst others.
The PDP chieftain advised Governor Okowa and his team to ensure that only individuals that are capable of running their political offices effectively are appointed in the next set.
The political big wig called on Deltans to support Governor Ifeanyi Okowa and his Cabinet towards achieving great success in the years ahead.
Speaking on post election cases pending in various courts, Prince Jifas Ogbon appealed to candidates who lost in the 2019 governorship election in Delta State to drop their charges, as court cases will only slow down the pace of development.
He charged them to join forces with the Okowa team in building an all round virile and prosperous Delta State.
He expressed implicit confidence in the ability of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa and his Deputy, Deacon Kingsley Otuaro to take Delta State to an enviable height in terms of socio-economic, human capital, physical, as well as intellectual development.
