AMCA DISTRIBUTES SCHOOL AND LEARNING MATERIALS TO FOUR PUBLIC SCHOOLS IN AGBON KINGDOM.

As part of efforts to boost western education in the rural areas, a body known as Agbon Ministers Christian Association AMCA has distributed learning materials, including school bags and sandals, as well as assisted some lucky out-of-school children to return to school.

The schools that benefitted from the philanthropic gestures are Agbon Primary School Isiokolo, Ovu Primary School, Ovu, Orhono Primary School Eku, and Ezebue Primary School Ogoriowo Ovu.

Speaking on the importance of education, the National President of AMCA Bishop Pius Oruma described education as the bedrock of development in any society.

Bishop Oruma disclosed that as Ministers of God in Agbon kingdom, they do not only preach but  also contribute to the development of public schools in support of the educational policy of Government by giving out various learning materials as well as facilitating the return of some out-of-school children to the classroom.

He told the benefiting children to always listen attentively to their teachers during classes, attend school and classes regularly, as well as take their studies very seriously.

He also used the medium to urge parents and guardians to pay more attention to the education of their children and wards, stressing that education is the only legacy that can be bequeathed to the children and youths.

The Christian Cleric however pointed out that AMCA is a body highly committed to the spiritual and physical growth of indigenes and residents of Agbon kingdom.

For his part, the National Vice President of the body, Bishop Ezekiel Ovumedia in an interview described the educational interventionist project as a huge success.

Speaking in the same vein, the AMCA Chairman for Warri and its environs, Bishop Vwede Abiye-Sibi stated that in the year 2020, more schools would benefit from the education project.

Reacting, the Head Teachers of some benefiting schools thanked the leadership of AMCA for the gesture and urged the lucky children to maximize the use of the materials given to them.

They noted that the gesture would go a very long way to boosting the education of the beneficiaries whose parents could not afford such expenses.

The leadership of the group also prayed for the school children, the Monarch of Agbon Kingdom, Ogurime rime, Ukori the First and the entire Agbon Kingdom, amongst others.
