The remains of late Chief Tom Ogbeyerine Olioki Izoukumor was at the weekend laid to mother earth at his country home in ogbe-Ijoh town,in Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta state.
Omonigho Edaah reports that the week long final rites of passage of late Chief Tom Ogbeyerine Olioki Izoukumor was attended by the who is who in Politics, Captain of Industries,the traditional institution, highly placed persons in the society, friends and well wishers among others.
The final rites of passage of late chief Tom Ogbeyerine Olioki Izoukumor started on Monday 25th of November 2019 with a service of song at his residence by Palace Road,Ogbe-ijoh town, while on Tuesday 26th of November 2019 was a novelty football match between the Ijaws and Itsekiris of Warri South West Linn Government Area.
On Thursday 28th of November 2010 his remains left Vennel Hospital Mortuary Warri in a motorcade to Chief Tunde Smooth waterside for an onward movement via a large to Ajuju Community for a social wake keep toll date and thereafter his body left Ajuju Community on Friday 29th of November 2019 for the grand finale of the final rites of passage at Ogbe-Ijoh town in Ogbe-Ijoh Warri kingdom.
The eldest child , Chief Favour Izoukumor on Sunday 1st of December 2019 led family members, friends and well wishers to Christ Embassy Church One,along Airport Road for a thanks.
The Delta State Deputy Governor,Deacon Kingsley Otuaro led an array of top Political office holders to the funeral.
Some of the notable persons who spoke to newsmen described late Izoukumor as a man who fear God and raise up children who have affected mankind and the society.
They implored the children to take solice in God who made their father to lived to the age of eighty four as well as lived a good life.
While reading the biography of his father,chief Favour Izoukumor said that his father who is a Perfect of the Izoukumor's family taught his children value and respect.
Chief Izoukumor who is also the fiewie of Ogbe-Ijoh Warri kingdom added that as a family they will miss their father.
The final rites of passage of late Chief Tom Ogbeyerine Olioki Izoukumor was attended by the Delta State Governor,Dr Ifeanyi Okowa, represented by his Deputy Deacon Kingsley Otuaro, Traditional rulers, Group captainJohn Ebiye, Chief Tunde Smooth, Senator James Manager,Honourable Thomas Ereyitomi, Honourable Julius Pondi, Honourable Dennis Guwor, Chief Joel Ogbona,the PDP family among others.
Some Ijaws popular musicians, including Barrister Smooth, Alfred Izon Ebi amongst other thrilled invitees during the week long rite of passage of Chief Tom Ogbeyerine Izoukumor.
Late Chief Tom Ogbeyerine Izoukumor a Patriarch of the Izoukumor family went to sleep with his forefathers at the age of eighty four years old.
