The Unuamua of Jeddo community in Okpe local government area of Delta state Comrade Solomon Bayagbon says that leaders of the community are committed towards her sustainable development.
Comrade Bayagbon stated this at the first day of the three days annual conference of Jeddo community at the community town hall on Friday.
Okakuros, elders, youths, women, as well as stakeholders in Jeddo community of Okpe local government area converged on this hall on Friday to deliberate on how to move the community forward.
The Unuamua of Jeddo community Comrade Solomon Bayagbon in his speech said that the Jeddo annual conference avail sons and daughters of the land to discuss issues that will move the community forward.
Comrade Bayagbon used the forum to give stewardship of his leadership, pointing out that the community has witnessed prevailing peace, seen the ninety percent completion of the phase one of the new Okpe road, renovation of Edion hall with modern facilities, renovation of Jeddo health center, among others.
The Jeddo Unuamua stated that achieving a progressive and virile community all hands must be on deck to the developmental project of the land.
Speaking in a similar vein the chairman of the Jeddo annual conference Mr Samson Enamiriewan said that the conference would try to implement the robust deliberation raised in the three days conference.
For his part the out gone Jeddo conference chairman Mr Benson Igwekpe who spoke on his experience as conference chairman added that subsequently the conference chairman should be given more authority to perform.
The Okpako Amua of Jeddo community Okakuru D W Enamiriewan advised all delegates in the three days Jeddo community conference to conduct themselves maturely and raised issues that will lead to the overall sustainable growth of the land.
The secretary of the Jeddo community Mr Moses Igben expressed optimism that the three days conference would come up with meaningful suggestions that will help position Jeddo as a virile community that will attract more investors and progress to the land.
The National Youth Service Corp NYSC members serving in Jeddo community also used the forum to present to the conference on the need to upgrade the Jeddo secondary school, of which the conference promised to look into.
It is therefore hopeful that at the end of the three days annual conference of Jeddo community the various issues raised should be implemented in other to bring about people oriented growth and development
