BISHOP OKAH CALLS ON PRESIDENT BUHARI TO ADDRESS THE ISSUES OF INSECURITY IN THE COUNTRY

As Nigeria grapples with the increasing spate of insecurity, the immediate past National Vice President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, PFN South South, Bishop Simeon Okah has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to tackle the rising cases of kidnapping and other insecurity issues in the country.
Bishop Okah made the call on Thursday in Effurun while addressing members of the fourth estate of the realms on the state of the nation.
Bishop Simeon Okah told the media that the President Muhammadu Buhari led administration needs to do more in tackling all issues of insecurity for peace.
Bishop Okah who stated that peace is what is needed to fast track socio economy growths and development in any country, added that the issue of peace non negotiable.
The Clergy who also spoke on the constant kidnapping of school students for ransom by bandit in the northern part of the nation, advised the federal government through the ministry of education to include security training of students into the educational curriculum.
Bishop Okah who is also a member of the advisory council of PFN, condemned in totality the recent attack on police stations in the Eastern parts of the nation.
He urged the federal government to provide the police and other security agencies in the fight against insurgency, banditry and kidnapping, with necessary weapons to win the war.
He also emphasized that men of the force on the battle front should be more encouraged in terms of insurance policy, better wage, good working environment amongst others.
Speaking on zoning ahead of Nigeria 2023 general elections, Bishop Okah, stressed that power going to the Eastern parts of the country is not a bad one, stressing that rotation only enables each region in the country has a taste of power.
On the issues of boundary disputes in the Isoko nation, the Clergyman lauded the Delta State Governor Dr Ifeanyi Okowa for his swift intervention.
The Chairman PFN Delta State, Bishop Kingsley Enakirhire in an interview, supported the position of Bishop Simeon Okah in finding lasting solution to the issues of insecurity in the nation.
On the issue of granting amnesty to bandits, Bishop Kingsley Enakirhire suggested that the federal government should proscribed them rather than giving them amnesty.
As concerned Nigerians are all bearing their minds on the insecurity issues in the country, it is hopeful that the relevant authorities do the needful in ensuring sustainable peace in the nation that will engender socio economy growths and development across the country.
