COUNCIL CHAIRMAN UNVEILS PLAN FOR BLUEPRINT AS DBS WARRI MANAGEMENT VISITS

Ethiope East Local Government is putting together a Development Blue print that will facilitate private sector  participation to boost socio economic activities in the area.

Former Chairman, South South Region of the Nigeria Chamber of Commerce , Mines and Industry , NACCIMA , Chief Emmanuel Aworo , is the chairman of a special committee of Notable sons and daughters of Ethiope East , assembled by the Council chairman to work out the blue print. 

Chairman of Ethiope East, Hon Victor Oforbruketa, gave details of the development blue print, when management of Delta Broadcasting Service Warri paid him a courtesy call at the council headquarters at Otorho Agbon. 

He disclosed that after the completion of the blue print, there will be an economic summit of Ethiope East Indigenes where issues of investment and development of the area will be discussed. 

The council chairman said the resolutions of the summit will be put into a legislative framework that will be a legal guide for subsequent council administrations in the next twenty years.

He emphasized that with the current paucity of fund in local government, his aim as one who has been in the council for long, was to partner with the private sectors towards realizing the developmental drive of the council area.

He maintained that Ethiope East has tourists cites which when develop can boost the revenue of the council.

The General Manager of Delta Broadcasting Service DBS Warri Pastor Malcolm Oteri for his part, said that the essence of the visit was to partner with the council on how to publicize activities of the council.

Pastor Malcolm Oteri stressed that the media has a powerful role to play in the development of any society.

Pastor Malcolm enjoined the chairman of the council to take advantage of the station to inform the people of Ethiope East local Government and residents of the state,the  activities of the council.
