N100 HEALTH COOP INITIATIVE

NIGERIANS IMPLORE TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF HEALTH INSURANCE SCHEME TO ACCESS MEDICAL AT REDUCE COST

The Director General of the Delta State Contributory Health Commission Dr Ben Nkechika says the Delta State government is committed towards  making quality healthcare accessible to all Deltans .

Dr Nkechika stated this on Thursday during the launching of one  hundred naira health coop initiative in Warri. 

Speaking on the importance of health insurance scheme, the Director General of the Delta State Contributory Health Commission Dr Ben Nkechika said that the state government health insurance scheme is to avail both the rich and the poor get access to quality health care services at a reduced cost. 

Dr Nkechika said that the health of Deltans  is of great concern to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa and as such implored Deltans to always take their health issues seriously. 

He lauded the organizers of the one hundred naira coop initiative for coming up with idea adding that the initiative no doubt has helped the Delta State Contributory Health Commission to expand the State health insurance scheme to reach out to  thousands of people in the state.

For his part, the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the one hundred naira health coop initiative Dr Bright Emenena said that beneficiaries of the health insurance scheme are only to pay one hundred naira daily for ninety days to enable them access medical treatment at any hospital of their choice. 

Dr Emenena noted that as humans one is expected to fall sick at any given time , urging Residents in the State to take advantage of the initiative and get treated  at no cost.

Others who spoke including the Senior Special Assistant to the Delta State Governor on Transportation Chief Francis Arhiyor described the scheme  as a welcome development.

The event featured questions and answers session as well as the formal launching of the one hundred naira coop initiative by the DG of the Delta State Contributory Health Commission Dr Ben Nkechike
