ISABA PEOPLE RECEIVES STATE PALLIATIVE

DELTA STATE FOOD DISTRIBUTION GETS TO ISABA.

The food distribution by the Delta State Government and the the leaders of Warri South-West LGA on Monday April 20th 2020 was received at Isaba community of the Ancient Isaba kingdom of Warri South West Local Government Area of the state.

The councillor representing Isaba ward two in the Warri South West legislative arm Honourable Moses Ogugu and other leaders of Isaba Kingdom was on ground to received the food items from the state and the local government food bank.

Honourable Moses Ogugu who spoke to newsmen thanked Governor Ifeanyi Okowa and the leaders of the local government for their initiative of setting up a food bank as well as distributing the food collected to the poor and vulnerable in the state.

The Isaba ward two councillor noted that as someone from the riverine community he can confidently say that life has not been easy for his people following the lockdown.

He emphasized that the food items from the state government will cushion the hardship and hunger among his people.

Honourable Moses Ogugu said he was elated to see the smiles on his people’s faces especially the oldest man of Isaba kingdom Papa Macauley.

He also used the medium to implored the Federal Government to also reach out to the poor and vulnerable in the riverine communities in the state by ensuring that the palliative and conditional cash transfer get to the people.

Food items received are 24 bags of garri, 29 bags of bean, 19 bags of rice, 150 tubers of yam, 28 cartons of indomie noodles, 2 bags of onions, 4 gallons of palm oil, 2 gallons of vegetables oil, 3 bags of salt, packet of Maggi cubes among others.
