HOST COMMUNITIES LEADERS CONDEMNS A PUBLICATION MADE BY SOME UNRECOGNIZED YOUTH BODY CALLING CAPTAIN HOSAN OKUNBOR TO STOP TRADING JOB SLOTS WITH NON -INDIGENES.

Warri -

The attention of Host Communities leader have been drawn to an online publication by an unrecognised group with a fictitious name Warri Escravos and Forcados (Burutu) Youths accusing CAPT HOSAN OKUNBOR,  CEO, Ocean Marine Solution, the contractor In charge of PPMC Trunk Line & Trans Forcados Pipeline (TFP) Oml 30 of illicit and oppressive activities in the creek of Niger Delta.

According to an opinion leader and former chairman Diebiri Batan Community in the Ancient Diebiri kingdom in Warri South West Council Area of Delta State,
Engineer Don Dickson Ogugu described the publication is unfair, barbaric and borne with malicious falsehood with the intention of tarnishing the image and reputation of our respected Community Leaders.

"It is sad to note that  some persons are hiding under the umbrella of lies and blasphemy against their own Izon brother, for their personal interest and self aggrandisement" He said.

He advised the purported Central Youth Body to do their findings and consultations from their leaders and the RIGHT OF WAY COMMUNITIES, before being incited against the peaceful coexistence between OMS & Host communities Carrying out there Surveillance work in the pipeline Right of way (ROW).

"It would recalled that, Ocean Marine Solution (OMS) Invited all host communities within the reach of there knowledge and informed them of the Surveillance Security work given to them on the NNPC/PPMC 24" DELIVERY PIPLINE from Warri River to Escravos Terminal for negotiation and employment late 2017" he added.

As the then Chairman, I was among the representatives at the negotiation meeting.

He pointed out that after several deadlock in the Negotiations, the following below was unanimously agreed by the Ijaw and Itsekiri Host Communities in the NNPC/PPMC line that:

1) Communities Liaison Officers (CLOs)/Coordinators will supply one speed boat each to carryout the surveillance security work long the line.

2) OMS will employ 15 Workers each from communities with large mile kilometers space and 10 workers from the small mile kilometers.

3) Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Will be provided by OMS.

It is unethical and unprofessional for the CENTRAL YOUTH BODY who claimed to be our own brothers to direct The CEO, of OMS to  give them the identities of personnel working with him. This is a cheap blackmail and an insult to the general youth in Warri South West and BURUTU L.G.As all for individual self enrichment.

This surveillance work is a grassroot community based employment that cuts across the pipeline communities is not for any political forum or organization.

For the avoidance of doubt, the following are core Niger Delta freedom fighters and community leaders that are in charge of NNPC/PPMC PIPELINE SURVEILLANCE THAT ARE WORKING DAY AND NIGHT TO PROTECT THE FACILITIES TO ENSURE THERE IS PEACEFUL COEXISTENCE BETWEEN OUR COMMUNITIES AND OWNER OF THE FACILITIES SO AS TO ATTRACT DEVELOPMENT THE HOST COMMUNITIES AND SHORE UP THE REVENUE BASE OF OUR COUNTRY, NIGERIA.

We hereby appeal to this said faceless CENTRAL YOUTH BODY to desist from their baseless and fictitious claims and stop this satanic incitement capable of ruining the prevailing peace in the riverian region.

 ENGR DON expanse that
the same employment procedure was applied across the TRANS FORCADOS PIPELINE (TFP) When HERITAGE ENERGY awarded the surveillance work to OMS early 2019, with the guideline of OML30 GMOU,
TFP CLUSTER 11 COMMUNITIES ARE JUST 6 IN THE GMOU THEN, BUT OMS EXTEND THERE EMPLOYMENT TO BENEFIT OTHER COMMUNITIES THAT ARE NOT IN THE GMOU WHICH ARE:

i) DIEBIRI-BATAN COMMUNITY. Sir Ambrus Ogulasougha.
ii) Oforgbene Community Comrade Yinri.
iii) Yeye Community Pst Philip Fianka.
iv) Obotobo I Community Chief Wilson Odeh
v) Obotobo II Community  John Ekerefe.
vi) Ogulagha Community Capt Alex Yelemu.

viii) Eweregbene Community Chief Sylvester.
Amongst others.

I will not be in support if OMS is to takeover our community base indigenous GRASS CUTTING AND MINOR SURVEILLANCE WORK THAT ARE ON GOING BEFORE NOW in addition to the above mentioned two Surveillance security works.

I wish to appeal to all stakeholders, community leaders, security agents, local government Chairmen, Delta State Government and the Federal government of Nigeria to call the purported Central Youth Body to order, in order not to obstruct and incite hatred within the peace loving communities by trying to call us non-indigenes.
